CloseSimple Earns SOC2 Type II Certification

Our Head of Product & CTO, Nate Niemi, explains what the SOC2 Type II report is and what it means for the customers of CloseSimple.

Recently CloseSimple completed a SOC2 audit, which is a report on the controls of an organization that are relevant to security, availability, processing integrity and confidentiality.

This report is intended to provide transparency regarding the design and effectiveness of the controls in place at CloseSimple that we use to maintain security, availability, and processing integrity of the CloseSimple platform.

Our SOC2 report was prepared by Dansa, D'Arata, Soucia LLP.

After an audit of our system description, documentation and operational evidence, they found their controls to be suitably designed and that they operated effectively during the monitor period.

This goes a step further than this a SOC2 Type I report, which is limited to an auditor's opinion of the design of our controls. Although our security program goes beyond what is contained in this audit or it does demonstrate CloseSimple's commitment to observing industry standards and providing transparency to our customers.

This commitment is ongoing, and we will be providing updated SOC2 Type II audit reports on an annual basis.
