During my 13 years in the title industry, I averaged 80 to 100 files per month (myself!). So I was a bit stressed out.

Just kidding…

I was INCREDIBLY stressed. All of the time!

If you work in title or escrow, you probably know exactly how I felt.

For 13 years, I would go to work … come home … have my laptop open while cooking dinner … put my kids to bed… then work on my laptop in bed with a glass of wine next to me.

My husband would insist that I close the laptop and enjoy my evening.

If you’re in the title and escrow industry, you know as well as I do that I couldn’t do that.

... I couldn’t just leave my work at work and have a life outside of the office.

I am going to let you in on a little secret that will save you a lot of time. If you use automated and templated emails and text messages to send updates to your realtors, lenders, and consumers, you can save an hour or more in busy work each day.

I’m not kidding.

Think about how much time you spend doing the same thing over and over and over again?

Also, think about what questions realtors, consumers, and lenders ALWAYS ask.

When I’m not helping title companies save time by automating redundant tasks, I like to read, cook, and break out in song for no reason other than I love music and singing. Most of the time, if I hear a song I like, I will belt out the lyrics. I probably won’t be able to tell you the title of the song or who sings it, but I will know every word.

I also like to travel. My family -- including my parents, my sister and her family, and my husband and kids -- go on a trip every year. We especially enjoy hiking along the north shore of Lake Superior. I love the outdoors and spending time with my family.

I’m sure you also have interests and hobbies that you’d love to indulge in. Maybe you also have ducks that you’re raising in your backyard. Or maybe you just want to enjoy a glass of wine, preferably one that pairs better with relaxation than with work emails.

You’re probably thinking, Yes, I would love to have time to enjoy my life, but I have too much work to do.

I get it.

Remember, I’ve been there.

For 13 years that was my entire life.

I understand that you have piles of work to complete and tons of emails to send to realtors, answering their many questions.
