CloseSimple has recently completed a round of fundraising and we are poised for growth. Our leadership team leverages EOS to guide this growth. What You’ll Do
The VP of Finance is a strategic partner on the leadership team with accountability for the financial operations and wellness of the organization. This position is a hands-on role supporting the financial objectives of the organization. The VP of Finance will play a critical role in partnering with the leadership team in strategic decision making and operation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy (20%)
- Set the strategic direction for Finance & Accounting at CloseSimple
- Oversee financial management, planning, systems, and controls
- Be part of the leadership team
Financial analysis (20%)
- Create financial models; analyze & present financial performance
- Lead annual budgeting & forecasting
Accounting management (20%)
- Enter bank / credit card transactions
- Perform client invoicing and collections
- Make vendor payments (Bill.com)
- Manage month-end close and revenue reconciliation
Internal controls / reporting (20%)
- Manage organizational cashflow
- Own revenue & scorecard reporting
- Manage dashboard
- Board meeting prep
Miscellaneous (20%)
- Own & continuously improve processes
- Liaise with bankers, auditors, lawyers, CPAs, and other strategic partners
- General administration
- Manage banking relationships
- Lead future strategic transactions
What Sets You Apart
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an emphasis in accounting
- 5+ years of work experience in accounting and finance
- Advanced and thorough knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, internal controls, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience working in a growth stage technology company (preferably Software-as-a-Service) is preferred
- Must be self-directed - able to willing to develop structure and drive processes
- Strong analytical ability to recommend, develop, and implement improvements
- Must be an exceptional communicator and presenter
